Pasquale Capogreco is a lifelong resident of East Boston and serves as President Emeritus of Italia Unita. He is one of four founders of Italia Unita. His pride for East Boston and Italian culture is quite evident through the successes of Italia Unita’s annual events.

Ben Tauro one of four founders. Ben was born in Italy and settled in East Boston raising a family of four and the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren. He is a successful entrepreneur, starting a few family businesses including, a tailor shop and a glass shop (Logan Glass family owned). He spent most of his years volunteering on many boards including serving as President of the East Boston Chamber of Commerce. He is strong community activist in East Boston.

Lisa Capogreco-Cappuccio One of four founders Lisa works in the areas of public relations, community development, film, politics, and radio. Lisa is the president of Boston Concepts a full service marketing and public relations agency. www.bostonconcepts.net

Neffo Cappuccio is Sales Manager of Cappuccio Construction. Born in East Boston, Neffo served as President of the East Boston Main Streets Program and the East Boston Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers in many organizations and supports many charitable programs. www.cappuccioinc.com

Gene Schepici, Gene was born and raised in East Boston. He is a Budget Analyst with the Massachusetts Trial Court and has been employed there for over twenty years. Gene has been an Italia Unita Board Member since 2005 and became involved to further promote and preserve the Italian culture within the East Boston and surrounding communities.

Charles Clark, was born in Connecticut and has lived in East Boston for ten years. Charles is the Facilities/IT Manager for the AIDS Action Committee and has been there since 1996. Charles has traveled extensively throughout Italy and has adopted the culture and the language. His interest in Italy and the Italian culture brought him to Italia Unita.

Stephen Jones, a lifelong resident of East Boston, first got involved with Italia Unita in 2005 to reconnect with his Italian heritage. Stephen is currently working for Globoforce, world's leading provider of strategic employee recognition reward solutions based in Dublin, Ireland. Stephen co-chairs the Cultural Committee with Charles Clark. The Cultural Committee is responsible for Italia Unita’s Italian Language classes, the monthly member’s dinner, as well as other cultural events throughout the year, such as Art Exhibits during Italian Heritage Month.

Pascal Gangi, born in Sciacca, Sicily migrated to the states in 2000. Currently a student at Wentworth Institute of Technology to become a mechanical engineer. His love for his Country and Sciacca brought him to create his own art group which promotes art and culture from Sciacca. He dedicated himself to bringing the Carnevale tradition into the Boston area and get more youth involved in Italian events, traditions and culture.
